Bridge in north Macon shuts down for repairs. How long will traffic detour last?
A north Macon bridge is shut down this week, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
All lanes on Arkwright Road Bridge will be “closed for repair of the roadway” Tuesday and Wednesday, a news release from the sheriff’s office said.
The closure began at 10 a.m. Tuesday, and will reopen Thursday.
Deputies urged drivers to “avoid this area” and use different routes.
