Most Bibb County restaurants earned “A’s” on routine health inspections in October, with a dozen acing the inspections with perfect scores of 100.

Just over two dozen restaurants received “B’s,” according to what was reported Friday in the state health department’s online portal.

None received “C’s” or a failing grade of “U” during the reporting period of Oct. 1-31.

State environmental health inspectors assign grades based on how many points are deducted from 100, with scores of 69 and below considered failing.

How it works

An “A” for “food safety excellence” is based on a score between 90 and 100. A grade of “B” for “satisfactory compliance” is for a score between 80 and 89. A “C” for “marginal compliance” is based on a score of 70 to 79, while a “U” for “unsatisfactory compliance” is received for a failing score of 69 or less.
