Log truck driver dies after he ‘lost control’ on a Monroe County highway, deputies say

A truck driver from South Florida died after his vehicle carrying logs flipped over in Middle Georgia Friday morning, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the incident on Highway 74 near Davis Road around 9:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office said.

David Kebreau, 46, from Davie, Florida, was pronounced dead at the scene, deputies said.

An initial investigation showed the driver “negotiated a turn too fast and lost control, causing the truck to overturn,” deputies said in a news release. They deemed the incident as an accident.
