Macon has one of the 100 best restaurants in Georgia for 2024, Yelp says. Here’s which one
Macon is home to some of the best restaurants in the state and this list proves it.
Yelp just released its picks for the 100 best restaurants in Georgia and while there are several listed from Atlanta and Savannah, Macon also ranked among the best.
In fact, this Macon restaurant was ranked in the top 20 of the 100 best. So, which restaurant is it?
Dovetail in downtown Macon has 4.5 out of 5 stars on Yelp and was ranked the 18th best restaurant in Georgia. Here’s why:
“The Dovetail seems to specialize in classic foods with a twist,” said a Yelp reviewer. “When we are driving from FL to CO, we make it a point to end the first day’s journey in Macon simply so that we can eat at the Dovetail.
The restaurant, known for its “uniquely crafted, southern cuisine,” was ranked high because of its dishes such as Deviled Eggs, Cracked Pie, Pork Belly, Bacon Marmalade, Blackened Catfish and Georgia Fresh Salad.
Dovetail opened in 2012 and has been featured in Southern Living and Atlanta Eats magazines. The restaurant is a part of the Moonhanger Group, which also owns The Rookery, H&H Soulfood, Natalia’s and the classically restored Hargray Capitol Theatre.
