Truck accident in Monroe County leaves 1 passenger dead and the driver injured
A truck crash Thursday morning in Monroe County killed a truck passenger and injured the driver, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said.
The wreck occurred on southbound Interstate 75.
The sheriff’s office’s preliminary investigation showed the truck driver overcorrected and struck a guardrail, leading the truck to overturn.
The driver of the truck was taken to an area hospital, according to the press release.
The incident is still under investigation.
