A fire truck flipped over onto its side in a one-vehicle crash that left one firefighter injured Thursday morning in Monroe County southwest of Forsyth, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

The firefighter’s injuries were minor, according to a sheriff’s office news release. The crash happened on Abercrombie Road near GA Highway 83 just east of Culloden.

It was unclear in the news release what might have caused the fire truck to turn over.

Sheriff Brad Freeman said his office does not know yet what led to the crash, but that the wreck came after the truck couldn’t stay in its lane. He also confirmed there were no other vehicles involved in the crash.

The firefighter involved was not identified.

The crash is still under investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
