Coroner identifies Macon man killed in south Bibb County ATV wreck on Guy Paine Road
A Macon man died early Tuesday morning in an ATV wreck in south Bibb County, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies found a man dead on Guy Paine Road east of U.S. Highway 49 in south Macon when they responded to a call reporting a wrecked ATV at about 1:40 a.m., according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Coroner Leon Jones identified the man as Billy Darrell White, 59. Jones notified his family after the fatal wreck. White died at about 2:15 a.m., according to deputy coroner Richard Robinson.
No one else was injured in the wreck, and investigators do not think another vehicle was involved, according to the news release. The wreck was still under investigation.
