Perfect fall weekend in store for Georgia — but not before rain showers roll through

With high temperatures expected to hover in the middle 70s under clear skies on Saturday and Sunday, the weekend forecast for Middle Georgia looks perfect for pumpkin festivals or other fall outings across the region.

But before pristine conditions kick in, a day or so of rain showers are expected to roll through.

After sunny days on Wednesday and Thursday, rain chances tick up to 30% Thursday night and 60% on Friday, meteorologists at the National Weather Service’s Peachtree City outpost say.

“We have a front coming in maybe Friday morning, into the day Friday,” forecaster Ryan Willis said Wednesday. “That’ll bring with it some rain, maybe a few thunderstorms. But we’re not looking at severe weather or anything.”

Low temperatures, which were expected to dip into the mid-40s overnight on Wednesday, will likely be in the lower 50s Friday and Saturday nights.
