Houston County man and 2-year-old son dead after crash near Centerville, sheriff says

A Houston County man and his 2-year-old son died in a car crash late Tuesday night near Centerville, officials said.

Bryce Timothy Lee Anderson, 19, was driving south down U.S. Highway 41 near Gunn Road and Interstate 75 at about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday when his car went off the road, according to a statement from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.

Anderson’s car, a Chevy Yukon, hit a utility pole, the statement said. Both Anderson and his son died at the scene.

It was unclear in the statement why Anderson drove off the road or where he was traveling. The sheriff’s office was investigating the crash, the statement said.
