“We are incredibly thankful to Panda Express for this generous pledge which will do so much to help patients at Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital,” said Delvecchio Finley, president of Atrium Health Navicent.

In all, the restaurant said it will raise $441,992 for the hospital by the end of Dec. 2030.

“By creating a Panda Cares Center of Hope space for children to play, we hope that we’ll be helping these young patients to have an outlet to help them smile and experience joy during times which may be very difficult for them and their families,” said Finley.

The money raised will go toward improving the existing outdoor musical playground and the needs of individual patients.

“We are humbled to be part of the healing journey for the families and kids at these hospitals,” said Dr. Peggy Cherng, co-founder and co-CEO of Panda Restaurant Group. “Children are our future, and through this partnership and curriculum designed to give children the strength to thrive, we will bring smiles and hope to communities nationwide.”

Overall, Panda Cares initiatives have raised more than $120 million in partnership with Children’s Miracle Network hospitals since 2007. The initiatives have helped aid in the design of hospital spaces where kids can feel comfortable and have fun, all while their emotional, mental and physical needs are taken care of by the hospital.

In Macon, more than $110,000 of the $400k has already been donated to the hospital.
