Middle Georgia man, 66, dies in single-vehicle crash in Monroe County

A Middle Georgia man died in a Friday single-vehicle accident in Monroe County.

Jerry L. Stinson, 66 of Juliette, was found partially ejected from a Chevrolet Avalanche that had overturned on the east shoulder of Taylor Road. Stinson was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a preliminary investigation, Stinson was traveling east on Taylor Road when his vehicle left the road, struck several trees and flipped multiple times.

The crash is still under investigation.
