Body discovered in woods behind Burger King off of Eisenhower Parkway in Macon

Authorities discovered a body in a wooded area off of Romesier Drive behind the Eisenhower Parkway Burger King.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said he was unable to identify the body, and that it had been in the woods for “a long time.” He doesn’t know if the person was male or female due to decomposition, and the skull is missing.

Jones said he’s unsure of who discovered the body, as the person called 911.
