Man dies in motorcycle wreck on Rocky Creek Road in southwest Macon, Bibb coroner says

A 40-year-old Macon man was killed Monday when a motorcycle he was riding was involved in wreck with a car, Bibb County officials said.

The 5 p.m. crash happened near the intersection of Rocky Creek Road and Lions Place, which leads into Bloomfield Park about a mile west of Pio Nono Avenue in southwest Macon.

The man who died, Jason Alford Bennett, was riding a Kawasaki Ninja west on Rocky Creek, when he struck the side of a Honda Accord that was pulling out of Lions Place to head east on Rocky Creek, sheriff’s officials said in a statement.

The driver of the Honda, a 24-year-old woman, was treated for injuries at an area hospital.
