Want a free chicken sandwich or nuggets from a Middle Georgia Chick-fil-A? Here’s how

During this season of giving, Middle Georgia Chick-fil-A locations are giving away a chicken sandwich or eight-count nuggets to anyone who donates three cans of food during an upcoming food drive.

The canned food drive, which is in partnership with local food pantries and ministries, is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at participating restaurants.

“Our Chick-fil-A teams are excited to help our local food pantries provide for those who need our help,” Chick-fil-A Area Marketing Director Aimee Lashley said in a news release. “We want to thank our customers for supporting their community.”

Chick-fil-A’s goal is 20,000 cans of food. Dented and expired cans will not be accepted. Those participating must be present to redeem the free offer. Each person can only claim one freebie.

Recipient organizations include Thee Lord’s Table in Perry, Chard Wray Food Pantry in Milledgeville, Laurens Baptist Ministry Center in Dublin, Sacred Heart Christian Service Center in Warner Robins, Storehouse Ministries and the Macon Rescue Mission, both in Macon, Trinity Food Bank in Bonaire, Centerville United Methodist Food Pantry in Centerville and Genesis Joy House in Byron.

Representatives of those organizations are expected to be on site to accept the donations and to share information about their work in the community.
