Motorcyclist killed in Macon crash identified

A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash in east Macon on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim was identified as Donald John Carlasare, 44, a Twiggs County resident, said Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, the motorcycle left the roadway when the driver, later identified as Carlasare, lost control and then hit the concrete steps of an abandoned house in the 4000 block of Donnan Road about 3:30 p.m.

Carlasare was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health, where he was later pronounced dead, the release said.
