19-year-old charged with murder in Crawford County home invasion

A 19-year-old has been charged with murder days after the discovery of a Crawford County homeowner’s body after a burglar alarm sounded, authorities said.

Cheylanna Deshanna White was also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and six counts of theft by taking, according to a Crawford County Sheriff’s Office news release.

About 3:30 a.m. Sept. 19, an alarm sounded at a home in the 1200 block of Ga. 42 North., according to the news release.

Arriving deputies found the body of the homeowner, 54-year-old Daniel Jones, the release said.

The GBI is leading the homicide investigation.
