Man charged with vehicular homicide in Bibb County crash

A man has been charged with felony vehicular homicide in a crash earlier this month in Bibb County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Larry Kevin Moore, of Monroe County, is free on bond pending trial.

Aug. 9, the 42-year-old Moore was driving a Ford truck when it left the roadway and went down an embankment at 11:58p.m., according to a sheriff’s office news release.

The truck hit the side of a train that was stationary on the railroad tracks, the release said. The truck rolled before coming to a stop.

Clinton Nettles, 39, of Nashville, Georgia, who was riding in a rear seat, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.

The address listed for Moore on a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office jail list of arrests is the address of the law firm of Larry K. Moore. Moore could not be reached for comment.
