Two Monroe County firefighters fired for cheating during fire inspector training, agency says
Two Monroe County Emergency Services firefighters have been for fired for allegedly cheating during training, the agency posted on Facebook Wednesday.
The action was taken after the agency received word from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center that the pair had violated training standards by cheating during a fire instructor training class.
“Whether on an emergency scene or training in the classroom, the trust of the public is imperative and of the utmost importance to us,” Monroe County Emergency Services Capt. Shane Cook said in the post.
The names of the firefighters were not released.
