Sun-seeking alligator blocks traffic on Bibb County roadway

A sun seeking alligator stopped traffic on Joe Tamplin Industrial Boulevard in Bibb County.

The reptile was captured Saturday afternoon by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Animal Enforcement Unit, along with some help of sheriff’s deputies and Macon-Bibb firefighters.

The alligator was relocated and released unharmed back into the wild at Bond Swamp, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook.
