Washington state murder suspect with family ties to Macon in custody at Bibb jail

A Washington state murder suspect with family ties to Macon was being held Saturday at the Bibb County jail.

Germi Rashod Zeigler, 28, of Tacoma, Washington, was arrested Thursday night by Bibb sheriff’s investigators, FBI agents and U. S. marshals from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Authorities spotted Zeigler in a vehicle on Houston Avenue and followed him to College Park Apartments on Williamson Road, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Zeigler was taken into custody in the parking lot of the apartments without incident.

Per the FBI, Zeigler has family ties to Macon, according to an email from the sheriff’s office.

He’s being held on the charge of murder based on an arrest warrant from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office in Washington state.
