Traffic advisory: Lane closures expected on Riverside Drive in area of I-75 south ramps

Lane closures in the area of the Riverside Drive intersection with the Interstate 75 southbound ramps are expected to begin Friday, weather permitting.

The Georgia Department of Transportation is expected to install new signals at the intersection, according to an agency news release.

The project is expected to be finished by mid-May.

Starting Friday, a single lane closure is expected to be in place around the work zone at the I-75 off ramp intersection with Riverside Drive from Sheraton Boulevard to Riverside Park Boulevard, a release said.

The lane closure is expected to be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. week days in either northbound or southbound lanes until the work is done, according to the release.

Motorists are urged to slow down and remain alert when traveling through the work zone.
