Middle Georgia under a flash flood warning

A flash flood warning is in effect for Middle Georgia through Thursday night.

An earlier tornado watch that had been extended has been lifted.

Thunderstorms could dump 2 to 4 inches on grounds that are already saturated, the NWS says.

Thursday afternoon, parents picking up students at Rosa Taylor Elementary School were urged to avoid Crestline Drive after the storm topped a tree in the roadway, the Bibb County School District reported on Facebook.
