Chicken Salad Chick plans to open new Macon store in area with ‘a lot of energy and growth’
A new restaurant that has 12 flavors of chicken salad plans to open its Macon location in early March.
Chicken Salad Chick is tentatively set to open on March 4 after having an invitation-only soft opening on March 2-3, said Holly White, the general manager.
“We pride ourselves not only in a fantastic product that’s consistent and done well but a stellar staff as well,” she said. “We provide top notch guest service.”
Chicken Salad Chick, an Alabama-based franchise, has more than 100 locations nationwide, and the first location in Middle Georgia opened in Warner Robins on Watson Boulevard, according to a Telegraph article.
The Macon location at 1676 Bass Road is located in a new 6,000 square-foot multi-restaurant building that is across the street from North Macon Plaza shopping center.
“We really think Bass Road is one of the new and upcoming areas in Macon. It’s got a lot of energy and growth out there that we’re really excited about,” said Rod McLeod, the franchisee for the Macon, Warner Robins, Newnan and Carrollton locations with his wife, Lanier.
McLeod looked for a Macon location to open for around two years and decided to buy the property on Bass Road and build the multi-restaurant building for Chicken Salad Chick, he said.
“We have a lot of friends and family in the area, and we’ve really grown to like the area a lot,” he said.
Chicken Salad Chick is still hiring and plans to hire more than 65 people, White said.
They will have open interviews on Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at 6501 Peake Road, Building 950, according to its Facebook page.
At the restaurant’s grand opening, they will have promotions and giveaways, White said. They are running a promotion this week that will be announced on Friday for free chicken salad for a year. The details of the promotion and how to participate can be found on the restaurant’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/chickensaladchickmaconga/.
“We have a mission statement at Chicken Salad Chick, and it’s to spread joy, enrich lives and serve others, and not only are we serving chicken salad, we really are trying to enrich people’s lives and give them a one of a kind quick service, restaurant experience,” she said.
