Murder arrests in youth found shot dead stem from Crimestoppers tip, Bibb deputies say
A man and woman have been charged with murder in connection to a 23-year-old found dead in a SUV on Winton Avenue in Macon last month.
Frank James Tolbert, 54, and Noel Latonia Adams, 26, both of Macon, are being held without bond at the Bibb County jail in connection to the killing of of 23-year-old Eric Broomfield, according to Bibb County sheriff’s officials.
U.S. Marshals with the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force took Tolbert into custody at a home in the 1200 block of Winton Avenue and Adams at a home on Brentwood Drive. The two were booked into the jail Friday night.
At 7:40 a.m. Dec. 1, Broomfield was found shot to death inside an older model Chevrolet TrailBlazer in the 1200 block Winton Aveune. Tolbert lives on Winton Avenue, jail records show.
Broomfield, of Macon, was found by deputies responding to a call of a “person down.”
A Crimestoppers tip about Tolbert and Adams “being involved” in the slaying led to their arrests, sheriff’s officials said.
