‘THC cookies,’ other drugs seized in Twiggs County traffic stop, deputies say

Packaged to keep ‘em fresh, 95 “THC cookies” were seized during a traffic stop on Interstate 16 in Twiggs County.

THC is the main psychoactive compound in marijuana that gives people the sensation of being high. The cookies were in blue packaging that can be purchased online.

Sheriff’s deputies also confiscated five vials of THC wax, more than a pound of suspect marijuana and four bottles of “promethazine syrup,” according to an agency Facebook post. Promethazine is often used in cough and cold medicines.

A firearm was also recovered.

Ramzee Abdullah, 38, of Douglasville, and Lakeya Mungin, 30, of Brunswick, were both charged with manufacture/deliver/distribute/administer/sell/possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to Twiggs County jail records.

Abdullah was also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Mungin, who was driving, was also charged with speeding.
