Motorcycle passenger dies in Macon accident

A passenger on a motorcycle was killed Saturday night in a collision with an SUV.

Leslie Henderson, 54, of Peach County, died in the wreck that happened at about 9:20 p.m. on Sardis Church Road, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office release. Henderson was riding on a motorcycle with her husband, Johnny Henderson, 60, when they collided with a Jeep Liberty driven by Peyton Delucio, 17, of Indiana.

According to deputies, the Henderson’ were traveling west on Sardis Church Road and Delucio was making a left turn from Frank Amerson Parkway onto Sardis Church Road when they collided at the intersection.

The Hendersons were transported to a hospital, where Leslie Henderson later died. Johnny Henderson was listed in stable condition on Sunday. Delucio was not injured.

The accident is under investigation.
