Man dies alone in downtown Macon. Now Bibb coroner seeks his family

A 55-year-old Macon man was dead for days before his body was found Monday.

Waverly Rice died of apparent natural causes at the Dempsey Apartments at the corner of Cherry and Third streets in downtown Macon, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.

The coroner’s office is seeking Rice’s family members.

Anyone with information about his relatives is urged to call Jones at 478-256-6716.
