Hurricane Michael devastated countless lives. Here’s how you can help.
As the people of Florida’s panhandle and southwest Georgia try to cope with catastrophic damage from Hurricane Michael, you can help.
Mitchell’s Automotive is teaming up with members of the Al Sihah Shriners in Macon and Forsyth to collect supplies for victims.
“Anything we can load up, non-perishable, and take it down there because I know they can use it,” said Mitchell Bunce of Mitchell’s Automotive.
Supplies needed include: water, baby food, diapers, wipes, batteries, lanterns, non-perishable foods, peanut butter, charcoal, small propane containers and small grills, toiletries, toothpaste and deodorant.
Items will be collected at the shop from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. through Friday, Bunce said.
He hopes to send a 26-foot truck full of supplies down to Panama City Beach, Florida, on Oct. 22.

OneSouth Bank, a division of the Bank of Early, collected items for storm victims Monday at their branch on Forsyth Road.
Bank of Early has several branches in the storm-ravaged communities including a location just north of Panama City Beach.
Those donations are expected to be delivered Tuesday to Blakely in southwest Georgia.
