Austell man killed in Macon wreck, family survived

An Austell man was killed Monday morning after his truck apparently overturned at the entrance ramp from Interstate 75 to Pio Nono Avenue in Macon, Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.

Cornelius Epie, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene about 8:30 a.m.

His 37-year-old wife, Cherry, and their three children, ages 10, 9 and 2, were taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health, where all were in stable condition, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities have not released any details about how the accident might have occurred and it remains under investigation.
