Macon recycling, yard waste collection schedule changes

Macon-Bibb County residents who normally have their recycling and yard waste collected Thursday will instead of have it picked up on Friday this week.

The one day delay is due to Solid Waste Department employees participating in Public Works Appreciation Day, Macon-Bibb spokesman Chris Floore said.

The Macon-Bibb landfill will also be closed Thursday.

The change in schedule does not affect garbage collection or residents who have their regular pickup day on Friday.
