The Bibb County Sheriff’s office is warning residents to watch out for men going door-to-door trying to sell insurance.

The sheriff’s office has received calls from residents in the Estates Road area of south Bibb saying three men in a white or light cream Chevrolet have been stopping by homes to sell insurance. The men say they’re from Valdosta and are asking residents to let them inside, according to a Facebook message posted on Friday.

Authorities urge residents to not let the men into their homes and to remember “you are under no obligation to open your door to a stranger.”

To make a report of illegal or suspicious activity contact the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500.
