Dozens of midstate nonprofits are among those that stand to benefit Thursday from the fifth annual Georgia Gives Day, a 24-hour window of online charitable giving to nonprofits with a range of missions all over the state.

Donors can visit the Georgia Gives Day website and choose from hundreds of organizations based on location or cause.

As of noon Thursday, the Georgia Military College Foundation Inc. had raised more than $93,900 from more than 370 donors, raking second place in the highest dollar amount raised statewide. The Methodist Home for Children and Youth also was in the top 10 for money raised having collected more than $34,000 from more than 30 donors, according to the website.

Since its inception in 2012, Georgia Gives Day has raised more than $10 million so support more than 2,400 organizations, the website said.
