Man dies in crash on I-475 in second Bibb traffic fatality of the day
A person was killed in a fatal car crash on Interstate 475 southbound at Eisenhower Parkway on Wednesday evening, Macon-Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said. It was the second traffic fatality of the day in Bibb County.
A person was being extricated just after 7 p.m., according to information heard on a police scanner. Traffic was backed up and being rerouted onto Eisenhower.
The victim’s identity was unavailable while efforts were being made to contact next of kin, Jones said.
