Roadwork on Interstates 16 and 75 set for Wednesday evening

Guard rail repairs along Interstate 16 are set for Wednesday night in Bibb and Twiggs counties followed by repairs on Interstate 75 in Monroe Counties, according to a Wednesday afternoon news release from the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The work schedule for GDOT contractors is as follows:

▪  8- 10 p.m. on I-16 eastbound in Bibb County, right lane closed on Exit ramp 1 A

▪  10-11 p.m. on I-16 westbound in Twiggs County, left lane closed near mile marker 10

▪  11 p.m.- 2:30 a.m. on I-16 westbound in Bibb County, right lane closed at on-ramp 1A

▪  2:30- 5 a.m. on I-75 northbound in Monroe County, left lane closed near Exit 188; Ga. 42

Motorists should expect minor delays.
