Over 2,500 COVID-19 cases reported in Middle Georgia. Here are the county totals:

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 2,570 positive COVID-19 cases in Middle Georgia in its 3 p.m. update Wednesday.

  • Deaths: 139 (+3 reported since Wednesday, June 17). It’s important to note that these numbers indicate when deaths are reported to the Georgia Department of Public Health. It does not reflect when these deaths occurred.
  • Bibb County reported the most cases of COVID-19 in the Middle Georgia area with 644. Bibb also has the most deaths with 38.
  • Cases per person: Baldwin County has the most cases per 100,000 with 1,042. Next in Middle Georgia is Macon County with 862. Jones County has the fewest with 181.
  • The health department is not reporting how many Georgians have recovered.
