Over 2,000 cases of COVID-19 reported in Middle Georgia. Here are the county totals.

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 2,051 positive COVID-19 cases in Middle Georgia in its 3 p.m.. update Wednesday.

  • Bibb County reported the most cases of COVID-19 in the Middle Georgia area with 516. Bibb also has the most deaths with 34.
  • Cases per person: Baldwin County has the most cases per 100,000 with 916.09. Next in Middle Georgia is Macon County with 816.14. Jones County has the fewest with 174.88.
  • The health department is not reporting how many Georgians have recovered.

At 3 p.m., the state of Georgia reported 53,980 confirmed cases and 2,329 deaths, with 125 of those in Middle Georgia.
