Georgia reports 1,669 COVID-19 cases in Bibb and surrounding counties
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 1,634 positive COVID-19 cases in Middle Georgia in its 1 p.m. update Tuesday, an increase of 35 since 1 p.m. Monday.
Bibb County leads the area with 408 total cases and has 17 deaths, the most in Middle Georgia.
State health officials have not provided a breakdown of the residents tested for COVID-19 in each county. The state is also not tracking the number of people who have recovered from COVID-19.

At 1 p.m., the state of Georgia reported 38,721 confirmed cases and 1,664 deaths, with 72 of those in Middle Georgia.
