1,634 COVID-19 cases reported in Middle Georgia. Here are the cases by county

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 1,634 positive COVID-19 cases in Middle Georgia in its 1 p.m. update Monday, an increase of 16 since 1 p.m. Sunday.

Bibb County leads the area with 395 total cases. Bibb County has 17 deaths, the most in Middle Georgia.

State health officials have not provided a breakdown of the residents tested for COVID-19 in each county. The state is also not tracking the number of people who have recovered from COVID-19.

At 1 p.m., the state of Georgia reported 38,081 confirmed cases and 1,642 deaths, with 71 of those in Middle Georgia.
