More than 1,340 coronavirus cases, 51 deaths reported in Middle Georgia

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 1,341 positive COVID-19 cases in Middle Georgia in its 7:25 p.m. Tuesday update, an increase of 26 cases since 12:25 p.m.

Bibb County leads the area with 351 total cases. Baldwin County had the largest increase with 19 new cases.

Houston County has the most deaths with 14. Baldwin County had one additional death reported in the latest update.

State health officials have not provided a breakdown of the residents tested for COVID-19 in each county. The state is also not tracking the number of people who have recovered from COVID-19.

  • Washington 43, 1

  • Jones 29, 0

  • Bleckley 21, 0

  • Crawford 19, 0

  • Twiggs 8, 0

At noon, the state of Georgia reported 29,892 confirmed cases and 1,2595 deaths, with 51 of those in Middle Georgia.
