Middle Georgia reports over 1,100 coronavirus cases, 41 deaths. Here’s a list by county

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 1,112 positive COVID-19 cases in Middle Georgia in its 7 p.m. Wednesday update, up by 15 since noon.

Bibb and Baldwin had the largest jump in cases with five additional reported.

Houston, Washington, Pulaski, Monroe and Twiggs also had at least one new reported case.

Dodge and Macon County each had one case removed from its count in the latest update, which typically happens when a reporting error is made to DPH.

Monroe had two additional deaths reported in the latest update and Bibb had one new death reported.

As of Wednesday’s report, Houston County had the most reported deaths in Middle Georgia with 13.

  • Baldwin 210, 6

  • Macon 74, 3

  • Laurens 54, 1

  • Peach 45, 2

  • Washington 38, 1

  • Wilkinson 34, 2

  • Jones 28, 0

  • Pulaski 27, 1

  • Dodge 25, 0

  • Monroe 23, 3

  • Crawford 15, 0

  • Bleckley 12, 0

  • Twiggs 8, 0

At 7 p.m., the state of Georgia reported 25,634 confirmed cases and 1,095 deaths, with 41 of those in Middle Georgia.
