Middle Georgia reports over 1,000 coronavirus cases, 37 deaths. Here’s a list by county

Editor’s note: The Telegraph will provide an updated number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Middle Georgia at noon and 7 p.m. every day.

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 1,026 positive COVID-19 cases in Middle Georgia in its 7 p.m. Monday update, up by 36 from noon.

Baldwin County saw the largest jump in new cases with 10. Bibb, Houston and Pulaski each had four new cases in the latest update. Macon, Laurens, Peach, Washington, Wilkinson, Jones and Dodge each had at least one additional case.

As of Monday’s report, Houston County had the most deaths in Middle Georgia with 13 reported deaths from COVID-19. Bibb has seven while Baldwin has six reported deaths. Macon County has three reported deaths while Peach County and Wilkinson County have two. Laurens, Washington, Pulaski and Monroe each have one reported death.

At 7 p.m., the state of Georgia reported 24,225 confirmed cases and 994 deaths, with 37 of those in Middle Georgia.
