More than 60 new COVID-19 cases reported in Bibb County since noon

The Telegraph will provide an updated number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Middle Georgia.

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported 643 positive COVID-19 cases in Middle Georgia in its 7 p.m. Thursday update, up by 82 cases from noon Thursday.

Bibb County had the largest increase with 61 new cases. Pulaski County had five new cases and Houston County had four new cases. Both Baldwin and Macon County added three new cases and Peach had two additional cases. Crawford, Laurens, Monroe and Wilkinson County each had one new case.

As of Thursday’s report, Monroe, Laurens, Wilkinson and Pulaski County each have one confirmed death from COVID-19 in addition to the nine in Houston County, two in Peach County and one in Bibb County.

  • Jones 15, 0

  • Monroe 15, 1 +1

  • Crawford 12, 0 +1

  • Twiggs 4, 0

  • Bleckley 3, 0

At noon the state of Georgia reported 16,368 confirmed cases and 617 deaths, with 18 in Middle Georgia.
