Family toilet paper spat turns violent as son punches mom who hid it, CA cops say
A California man has been arrested for suspicion of battery after police said he punched his mom over a toilet paper dispute.
“Deputies responded to call where family members were arguing w/ each other because one felt the other one hid toilet paper,” the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station tweeted. “It turned into physical confrontation. One got arrested.”
Adrian Yan, 26, of Saugus was arrested on Monday after allegedly punching his mom, Shirley Miller of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station told NBC Los Angeles.
“Apparently the family disturbance had started over an argument about toilet paper,” Miller told The New York Post. “[Yan’s mother] said that she had been hiding it because he was using too much.”
The mother declined medical attention, according to The Los Angeles Times.
There have been many family violence reports ever since people have been sheltering in place to stop the spread of coronavirus, deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station told The Los Angeles Times.
“It was to be expected, it’s happening everywhere,” Miller told The Los Angeles Times.
