After Coronavirus forces some Waffle House locations to close, some in the Macon area set to re-open
Six Macon-area Waffle House locations will be re-opening next week after more than 400 locations closed in March throughout the United States due to the coronavirus.
Here’s the list of Macon area Waffle Houses that will be re-opening April 7 at midnight according to the Waffle House store locator page:
- 1426 Sam Nunn Boulevard, Perry
- 102 Lect Drive, Perry
- 4094 Pio Nono Avenue, Macon
- 3620 Riverside Drive, Macon
- 301 Highway 49, Byron
- 3010 Russell Parkway, Warner Robbins
Waffle House’s social media pages first started announcing how many stores were closed using the hashtag #WaffleHouseIndexRed. The initial post got over 1,000 retweets on Twitter and over 7,000 shares on Facebook.
Waffle House locations that are open are urging customers to call ahead to place to-go orders to limit the amount of time spent in the restaurant.
Many of the restaurant closures were across the Southeast region of the country.
