Warner Robins closes bars, restaurants and more amid coronavirus spread. Here’s more.
The City of Warner Robins issued an amended executive order Tuesday afternoon that will close restaurants, bars, gyms and other businesses at 8 a.m. March 25 through April 19.
According to the amended order, all public gatherings of more than 10 people outside of a house or apartment are banned, the city will not disconnect utility services for nonpayment and businesses must either shut down or modify their services.
Businesses that have to close under the order include:
- Restaurants, although restaurants can still provide curbside, delivery and to-go services. Restaurants with liquor licenses can sell unopened bottles and cans of beer or wine for off-site consumption.
- Entertainment venues
- Bars, social clubs and pool halls
- Gyms and fitness centers
- Movie theaters
- Bowling alleys
- Nail salons and massage parlors
Other businesses, such as grocery stores and pharmacies, can remain open, but have to ensure their customers and staff maintain six feet of separation or they’ll have to limit the number of people inside the business to 10.
The bidding and competitive pricing provisions in the city’s purchasing ordinance has been suspended.
