Two Bibb County School District employees test positive for coronavirus
Two Bibb County School District employees have tested positive with COVID-19, according to a release from the district.
One individual works at Ballard-Hudson Middle School and the other at Southwest High School. The district learned of the diagnoses on Monday. According to a press release, due to FERPA and HIPAA regulations, more information about the individuals and their medical conditions cannot be shared.
Bibb County Schools have been closed since March 16, the school district said.
“During the closure, all buildings are undergoing a deep cleaning that will include multiple steps as part of the disinfection process,” a press release from the district read. “The Bibb County School District will continue to post updates on its website at and will communicate additional information with families and employees as it becomes available. Meanwhile, the Bibb County School District asks that all stakeholders – students, employees, parents and community members – follow COVID-19 guidance as emphasized by local, state and national health care providers.”
