Chicken Salad Chick, which claims to have the nation’s only Southern-inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, is opening its first Middle Georgia store.

The new restaurant is expected to open Aug. 2 at 4088 Watson Blvd. in Warner Robins, according to a news release. This franchised store is owned and operated by Lanier and Rod McLeod of RLM Restaurant Group LLC.

The eatery offers 15 flavors of chicken salad as well as side salads and desserts.

It will be the eighth location of the Auburn, Alabama-based company to open in Georgia with another opening soon in Athens, according to the company’s website. For more information, visit www.chickensaladchick.com, or call 478-333-3592.

Various giveaways and specials will be offered during the first week of the grand opening in Warner Robins. The restaurant is scheduled to be open 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Grand opening specials include:

▪  Aug. 2 – The first guest will win a free pound of chicken salad per week for an entire year; the next 99 guests receive a free pound of chicken salad per month.

▪  Aug. 3 – The first 50 guests to purchase a pound of chicken salad with the Original Chick will receive a limited-edition Chick Tervis Tumbler.

▪  Aug. 4 – The first 100 guests will receive a complimentary koozie.

▪  Aug. 5 – The first 100 guests to purchase the Original Chick will receive a free scoop of Classic Carol.

▪  Aug. 6 – The first 50 guests to purchase two pounds of chicken salad receive a free cooler.

“My wife and I knew Warner Robins was the perfect spot for a Chicken Salad Chick because of its central location, fast growing market and nearby military base,” franchisee Rod McLeod, said in the release. “We’re excited to open the area’s first restaurant and look forward to bringing great food and genuine hospitality to the local community.”

The company has 57 locations across the Southeast and has sold 146 franchises to be developed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana and Texas.
