Coliseum receives achievement award
Coliseum Medical Centers has received the 2016 American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award for the seventh year in a row.
To receive the award, hospitals must achieve 85 percent or higher adherence to all achievement indicators for two or more consecutive 12-month periods and achieved 75 percent or higher compliance with five of eight program’s measures.
Coliseum Medical Centers has also met specific scientific guidelines as a primary stroke center, featuring a comprehensive system for rapid diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients admitted to the emergency department.
Macon physician recognized by Georgia Radiological Society
Robert Rosengart, a diagnostic radiologist with Radiology Associates of Macon since 2002, was presented with the Georgia Radiological Society’s Past President Award. From 2013-15, Rosengart led the Georgia chapter of the American College of Radiology with more than 800 radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical physicists, nuclear physicians and members in training.
Gruber picked for 30 under 30 program
Destination Marketing Association International has selected Veronica Gruber of the Macon-Bibb County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau for its 30 under 30 program. The program focuses on identifying and developing the talent of destination marketing professionals, 30 years of age and under, through increased access and exposure to industry networking and thought leadership.
Gruber has worked in the hospitality industry for seven years and has been with Macon CVB since June 2014 where she currently works as group tour manager. Prior to this role, she served as an information specialist and sales and services coordinator at the Macon CVB.
Piedmont honored for construction projects
Piedmont Construction Group of Macon received three awards at the 2016 AGC Build Georgia Awards ceremony. Piedmont received first place in its construction group and first place in best sustainable building practices division for Lamar Lofts; merit in its construction group and merit honors in its best sustainable building practices division for Navicent Health Bariatric & Metabolic Institute; and merit honors in its best sustainable building practices division for Chelsey Park Health & Rehabilitation.
Two banks named in top 200 nationally
Two local Macon-based financial institutions, American Pride Bank and MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union, were named to the 2016 edition of the Top 200 Healthiest Banks/Credit Unions in America by deposit accounts.
Each year, DepositAccounts.com evaluates the financial health of every federally insured bank and credit union in the U.S., more than 12,000 total. Each institution is graded on a number of factors, including capitalization, deposit growth and loan to reserve ratios, in order to determine a comprehensive health score.
Sloan hired at ASP
Macon-based America’s Swimming Pool Co. has hired Casey Sloan as the compliance and technical support officer and company pilot. He joined the team June 1and began the role of compliance monitoring and technical support for new and existing franchise owners. Sloan is responsible for piloting, executing brand adherence, documentation and financial assistance.
He holds a certified pool operator license, and has worked in the service side of the pool industry for many years.
Cook promoted at Colony Bankcorp
The board of directors of Colony Bankcorp Inc. announced the promotion of Stan Cook to executive vice president and chief operating. Prior to his promotion, Cook served as the bank’s director of operations.
He joined the company in 2012 as a member of the bank’s senior management team.
