Warren Associates receive contractors’ awards
Commercial building contractor Warren Associates Inc. celebrated its 45th anniversary this year and won two first-place awards for job performance excellence from the Associated General Contractors of Georgia Inc.
One award recognized the extensive renovation of Guillebeau Hall at Gordon College in Gordon. The other award was for design and construction of the Active Shooter Training Facility at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth.
The Build Georgia Awards competition recognizes excellence in commercial construction projects each year throughout the state.
Owners of Marco’s Pizza in Warner Robins win award
Marco’s Pizza franchise owners DJ and Vipul Patel, with a store in Warner Robins, received top honors at the company’s national award ceremony last month. The Patels earned the award by being one of the top 10 performers within the company and good business partners with the Warner Robins community. The pair collectively own 18 stores in Georgia and one in India.
Chalmers receives sales excellence award
Spherion Staffing Services, a local recruiting and staffing company, recently honored Middle Georgia franchise owner Michael Chalmers with the company’s 2016 Sales Excellence Award.
The annual award recognizes the individual owner or ownership team who goes above and beyond to generate revenue while simultaneously applying innovative approaches and dedicated service. In 2015, Chalmers and his team expanded combined revenue by nearly 55 percent within the Middle Georgia and Huntsville offices.
A former employee, Chalmers assumed his ownership role in 2010.
State Farm office selected for Business of the Month
The Perry Area Chamber of Commerce’s business development committee selected Tommy Storey State Farm in Perry as the recipient of the June Business of the Month award. The insurance office has been in business for 50 years.
