Polymer Logistics to create 110 jobs, invest $4 million in Dublin
Polymer Logistics, a company that makes retail-ready packaging, plans to put a logistics and distribution center in Dublin.
The company expects to create 110 jobs and invest more than $4 million in a new 73,500-square-foot facility on Best Buy Road across from the Best Buy distribution center, according to a release from the Dublin-Laurens County Development Authority.
The company will be building the facility through the year and plans to begin distribution in January 2017, Beatriz Lleras, marketing and public relations coordinator for the authority, said in an email.
“Information for employment will be provided at a later date,” she said.
The Israel-based company provides “plastic containers and pallet pooling services” and works with manufacturers, suppliers/packers and retailers, according to its website.
“Polymer Logistics is familiar with the competitive benefits our top-ranked business climate and strong logistics framework have to offer,” Gov. Nathan Deal said in the statement. “Georgia’s strategic resources and skilled workforce create opportunities that attract international companies like Polymer and bolster our presence in the global business community.”
Polymer Logistics operates two service centers in California and one in Texas. The company provides eco-friendly containers to major retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Carrefour.
“Our team has been working in partnership with state and local officials to bring a significant investment and new jobs to Georgia,” Danny Bartal, chief operating officer of Polymer Logistics, said. “The ease of doing business in the state has been impressive and will accelerate the completion of this facility.”
